Sonesta ES Suites San Antonio Downtown Alamo Plaza

it was honestly great. Sonesta is a 3 star property, and could be described as “perfectly fine”. The staff is lovely. I’ve stayed at high end hotels that didn’t have some of the amenities that Sonesta did. We were able to log into our Netflix account, which is awesome. On the flip side, it was me and my 16 year old son in a queen/pull out sofa suite and the tv can’t face both people at the same time. there’s nowhere else to comfortably sit on either side of the room when a sleeping surface is in use so it was a little uncomfortable if it was tv and bed time. There is no countertop in the bathroom which proved to be challenging. that could be because of the dynamics of a mom and son in the room and likely wouldn’t be an issue for a couple or small kiddos. the valet was awesome; quick and friendly. breakfast was delish and varied. we stayed Sunday through Thursday and upon checkin we’re told there wouldn’t be housekeeping during our stay, which I do not understand at all. overall, We really enjoyed the stay and would go back.

Absolutely loved staying here. Everything was fantastic. The front desk staff were amazing and very friendly, nothing was too much trouble. The location was perfect. A lot of attractions were just a short walk away. The breakfast was beautiful, with plenty of variety and all the staff were very friendly. Stayed in 2 bed 2 bathroom apartment, very spacious. The beds were very comfortable.

We love having a kitchen, and a hot breakfast every morning. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The bed was comfortable as well.

The staff was absolutely beyond the normal call of customer service. They were loving, kind, and sensitive to the point they pass it on to each other to make sure we had what we needed and what I requested, including the kitchen staff. Monica, Maria, Myrna and Sherry. Monica, my initial contact pass it on. We experienced a devastating lost of my 17 year old grandson committed suicide March 1, 2022 and which I'll never ever be able to tell him how special he was. Now for the first time ever being able to take my 11-year-old granddaughter on a trip with just the two of us I wanted her to know how special she was therefore I talked to the Monica and she coordinated with everyone to have balloons and fresh break cookies in the room prior to arrival. She honored my request for the top floor. My granddaughter and I for just two days we're so happy to spend that time together. Thank You... It was pricey for two nights but it was worth it for a lifetime memory ♥️

Good location, easy to find off the highway, close to downtown attractions (easy walking distance to most major attractions & activities). Good neighborhood, even at night. Hotel staff were attentive and friendly. Room was clean. Breakfast was good.
